About Myself

I’m Deniz, a 25-year-old filmmaker with over six years of experience in the fields of cinema, documentary, television, and commercial production. My creative journey began in Istanbul, where I worked across a wide range of visual storytelling formats for five years. Since then, I’ve continued to expand my craft in Berlin, where I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Film.
My work bridges multiple roles within the production process. I work as a videographer, photographer, film director, and director of photography (DoP) — with a deep passion for both the creative and technical sides of filmmaking. I’m also an experienced video editor and colorist, often shaping the emotional tone of a project from start to finish.
Alongside my academic studies, I work part-time at a television channel in Berlin as a DoP and camera operator, further refining my ability to tell stories in real time and under tight production conditions.
What drives me most is the unique rhythm and poetry of short films and artistic videography. Whether I'm directing a scene, capturing a fleeting moment on camera, or editing together fragments of motion and meaning, my goal is always the same: to craft visuals that resonate — stories that linger long after the final frame.
This website is a curated collection of my work — a visual portfolio of projects, fragments, and collaborations that reflect my evolving voice as a storyteller.
